Volunteer of the month - February 2012!

Give it up for the two dedicated and committed volunteers of Toybank..... Indranil and Niraj!!!

Indranil Mukherjee and Niraj Ramjiyani are awarded the title of the 'Volunteer of the Month' for the month of February, 2012!

Both have them have been volunteering with Toybank for a very long time and have been giving their inputs in terms of time and effort for supporting our events and activities at Toybank.

Indranil joined Toybank as a volunteer since May last year. Since then he has been eagerly coming for our follow-up events. While having an upper hand on art, Indranil has helped us immensely by conceptualising ideas and making the creatives for the Mumbai Marathon.
Niraj also joined Toybank last year in July, and has very actively participated in our follow-up sessions at Toybank play centres. Niraj has also helped us conduct volunteer sessions for the pre-marathon preparations.

Both Indranil and Niraj are now closely working with our core volunteer team for our Toybank stall at the NGO India Event which is coming up on the next weekend in Delhi!

Here's a small QnA Session with Indranil:
Toybank: What brought you to volunteer with us?
Indranil: I wanted to do it myself, and had gone through a long procedure to find something good... finally I found out something which i am willing to do... that was Toybank.

Toybank: What is your most memorable experience with Toybank?
Indranil: Of course the Mumbai Marathon 2012!

Toybank: What do you think about volunteering in general?
Indranil: At the end of the day it always gives me self satisfaction, that, I am doing something for the good of others.

Toybank: What keeps you motivated to volunteer?
Indranil: The quality support and motivation from the fellow-Toybankers.

Thank you Indranil for being a part of Toybank, and hope we get to see your super enthusiastic participation for a long time :-)

Here' s the QnA session with Niraj:

Toybank: What brought you to volunteer with us?
Niraj: Had been running after education and jobs since many years and felt a real need to do something which would be non-profitable, non-materialistic and selfless, hence thought of volunteering for an NGO.
Contacted quite a few NGOs but found Toybank to be the most prompt and the one with ample of opportunities.

Toybank: What is your most memorable experience with Toybank?
Niraj: My first day at Toybank is the most memorable experience. It was the first time i had interacted with students of a municipality school and was quite touched by the sight of the kids being handled by volunteers with patience and sensitivity.

Toybank: What do you think about volunteering in general?
Niraj: Almost all of us have a lot of time in our routine lives. By only a little bit of wise time management and spending so little of the abundant time we have, we can really change lives of under or lesser privileged people in a big way. Volunteering for an NGO is the most effective way to bring about the change.

Toybank: What keeps you motivated to volunteer?
Niraj: Everyone dreams for a better world. I do and would continue doing my bit in making it happen

Thank you Niraj for your invaluable support, and we look forward for your involvement at Toybank for a long time.

Keep Toybanking! :-)
