It takes ALL of US to create lasting change !
Toybank's Founder and CEO, Shweta Chari, was invited as the Chief Guest for Acharya College’s Phoenix Festival on 20th December. We wanted to share with you, an important thought that she addressed to the students:
“We need to see change in our lifetime. We don’t want to focus on being a legend or whether our deeds will make us famous. We shouldn’t focus on what comes after us, but focus on what we have right now and what we can do with those resources. Many of us can get sidetracked by unproductive conversations, complaints and gossip about how bad the world is getting and how nothing will ever change. But how many of us are using our voices and time to actually get things done? That’s what’s important, that is what is key. Each of us can contribute to a success story. A success story may highlight one individual’s name, but there are so many names that back that person up. It takes everyone’s involvement to make a change.
If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping in a room with a tiny mosquito!
Each of us young individuals have incredible opportunities and resources to make great strides in our life. We have education, teachers, friends, music, words, art, etc. Think about what you have in your life and what works for you. Don’t waste time thinking about what you don’t have and what doesn’t work for you. You need to focus on what you got and go make that change in your lifetime!”
